CDS® Knee Brace Extension

The CDS® Knee Brace Extension uses the CDS® principle to treat an extension deficit in the knee. Through gentle continuous traction, it promotes length growth of shortened structures and mobilization of the joint. The redression range can be individually adjusted.
- Joint contracture (e.g. as a result of vegetative state, cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, epilepsy, spina bifida, near-drowning, burns, stroke, spinal cord injury, paralysis, traumatic brain injury, capsular ligament injury, surgery, before/after knee replacement, osteoarthritis, chronic polyarthritis)
- Prevention of renewed contracture (e.g. after arthrolysis)
- Torn muscle fibers of the quadriceps
- Patellar tendon rupture
- Quadriceps weakness
- Conservative or postoperative, if active extension of the knee is contraindicated
- Activation of the extensors and stretching of the flexors
- Individually adjustable shell and strap system
- CDS® Nano joint with individually adjustable spring force
- Easy handling
- Tool-free switching on and off of the redression force without changing the spring tension
- High wearing comfort thanks to lightweight, air-permeable textile shells
- Adjustment of the redression range in 10° steps
- Sizes: Junior (thigh length 18 cm / circumference 30-40 cm), Bambini (15 cm / 25-35 cm), Malinki (12 cm / 20-30 cm)
- Lower leg length: Junior 20 cm, Bambini 18 cm, Malinki 15 cm
- Lower leg circumference: Junior 22-32 cm, Bambini 20-30 cm, Malinki 15-25 cm
