Children's long cane one-piece
by Comde-Derenda GmbH
The children's long canes were developed in cooperation with the association "Anderes Sehen e.V.", which is dedicated to supporting blind children. They combine high resilience with low weight, so that they can withstand daily demands without putting strain on children's slender wrists.
For children up to around six years of age, we recommend a cane that corresponds to their height plus five centimetres. From around the age of seven, the cane should reach up to the nose, and during puberty, an adult-length long cane (up to the chin or breastbone) can be chosen
One-piece long canes are particularly comfortable for smaller children and are available up to 90 cm in length. Two-piece models are suitable for older children, and as younger children often use the cane for exploration, these long canes are supplied with a light, child-friendly tip. Alternatively, other tips can also be used.
