Franka
by Atlas Kidtech
The Franka is a sturdy and highly adjustable indoor frame for seating orthoses (seating shells) that was developed specifically for children with mobility and postural limitations. The base plate features practical slotted holes, which—together with the depth adjustment of the back and leg tubes—ensure that the seat shell’s center of gravity can be optimally balanced. The frame is compatible with all major brands of seating orthoses.
By allowing flexible switching between active and passive postures, Franka provides optimal support for the child during various daily activities such as eating, playing, relaxing, doing homework, or watching TV. Thanks to its wide adjustment range, the base frame can be easily adjusted in height—seamlessly from floor level to table height—so that the child can always participate in family life at eye level.
Tilt Function The base features a continuously adjustable seat angle from -5° to +35°. This allows the child to be actively supported in a slightly forward-tilted position or tilted backward for rest and mealtimes to relieve pressure.
Getting In and Out The design is engineered to support independent entry and exit, depending on the child’s abilities.
Customization Franka offers a wide range of adjustment options. These include adjustable armrests, whose width can be adjusted as needed (or shortened for slimmer children) to provide optimal space for the orthotic seat.
Flexibility & Mobility The base frame comes standard with an integrated push bar, making it easy to maneuver. It is available in two different frame sizes and thus grows with the child’s needs. Height adjustment can be done either traditionally via a gas spring or, optionally, via an electric lift mechanism.
