The dynamic knee orthosis Jack PCL was developed to relieve the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL).
The orthosis overcomes gravity in the lower leg area, thus relieving the posterior cruciate ligament. The translational force is adjusted by individually customizing the spring force on both sides of the orthosis according to the leg's weight and the patient's weight. This helps counteract the adverse effects of muscle and gravity. Slippage of the tibia into the "posterior drawer" is prevented.
