Supination belt

from birth to the age of 3 years
Made of 1.5 mm washable neoprene covered with nylon.
Attaches to the back of the hand on the thumb side of the hand. The strap therefore also supports wrist extension and radial deviation.
The narrowed end attaches to the McKie thumb splint or other hand splint, and the square end of the strap wraps around the upper arm and attaches to itself.
The hook strap on the square end of the strap is not sewn on, so the strap can be shortened if it is too long.
The nylon on the smooth side is worn against the skin and the outer looped nylon webbing is receptive to hook tape, allowing for considerable adjustability when applying the strapping.
Latex-free and available in 6 colors
Custom options include lengthening the strap.

Thumb splint

Dynamic, streamlined design encourages thumb resistance during gripping.
Minimal palmar coverage allows the hand to function normally - to feel and manipulate objects.
Made of 1.5 mm thick, washable, nylon-coated neoprene.
Latex free.
The nylon on the smooth side is worn against the skin, and the outer looped nylon webbing is receptive to hook tape, allowing for adjustability when applying strapping.
Additional hook tape is available for purchase. The VELCRO® brand as well as other hook strap brands are used in the manufacture of the McKie Thumb Strap.
Custom options include custom sizing, longer strapping, extended or shortened thumb and plastic web.
