The close-fitting hand and forearm orthosis with Lycra can restrict or promote wrist extension and at the same time stabilize the thumb while it is functionally flexed and extended. If required, the S.D.O. can also encompass the fingers to improve the extension of the metacarpophalangeal joints. The functional reins and buckle are inserted and fitted according to the patient's individual needs.
