The VARILAG positioning cushion for babies has been specially developed to provide support for asymmetrically deformed back of the head. If cranial asymmetry is diagnosed, side positioning during the sleep phases can help to counteract the deformation and promote the natural shape of the head.
In the first nine months of life, the baby's skull is still soft and malleable. The stable lateral position allows gravity and the weight of the head to gently correct the shape of the head.
