We are a small, family-run Austrian company that specializes in promoting body awareness through our wide variety of weighted stuffed animals.

In 2013, the founder, Elisa Wegl, developed the weighted stuffed animals out of personal need for her special autistic son. This gave rise to a sustainable, socially conscious, and visionary company that supplies kindergartens, schools, therapy practices, and families primarily in Austria and Germany.

All weighted animals are designed, inspected, and lovingly hand-sewn in our Austrian workshop—with high quality standards and extensive expertise in body awareness.

We work in cooperation with a psychosocial institution that performs important preparatory work for sewing the weighted animals (such as cutting and ironing). We also use a portion of the net proceeds to fund the elja® Special Needs Fund, which supports families in need with the purchase of a weighted animal.
