korkino develops cork building blocks made from 100% natural cork for children, families, and educational institutions. Our building blocks are lightweight, quiet, and pleasantly warm to the touch. This makes them perfect for free-form building, stacking, and sensory exploration. Unlike wood, cork doesn’t make a clattering noise, and unlike plastic, it feels natural and alive. Its finely textured surface also helps develop fine motor skills and sensory perception.
Our sustainable building blocks are crafted in a small, family-run workshop in Portugal. Each block is sanded by hand, has gently rounded edges, and contains no varnishes or harmful substances. Cork is a renewable resource harvested without cutting down the cork oak tree, and it is fully recyclable.
With the handy S-Building Block Set for little hands and the large M-Building Block Set for building together, korkino offers the perfect play materials for the children’s room, playgroups, daycare centers, kindergartens, and therapeutic facilities.
