Participant was founded in 2018 by four friends with over 100 years of combined experience in assistive technology. Their mission: to provide wheelchairs to the 40 million people in middle-income countries who lack access, ensuring no one is left behind.

Early signs of success
Participant bridges the gap between low-quality, cheap wheelchairs and costly systems for well-funded health services. Our Cub product has won multiple awards, including the 2021 RESNA Audience Choice, 2024 ASME ISHOW, and we joined the 2022 Remarkable Accelerator cohort, earning recognition for impact and innovation.
