At WHILL, we develop mobility solutions that empower people to live their daily lives on their own terms. For us, the focus is always on individual benefit: mobility should be easily accessible, intuitive, and second nature.
Founded in Japan in 2012 by an interdisciplinary team of three men with experience in automotive design, research, and medical technology, we set out to rethink mobility. The idea to create assistive devices that are not only functional but also stylish emerged from a personal conversation with a wheelchair user.
Today, we have a global presence—with locations in Japan, the U.S., Europe, and China—and have received numerous awards for our product design and innovative spirit. WHILL thus represents a new generation of personalized mobility. Our products combine Japanese precision, innovative technical expertise, and a clean, minimalist design language.
