On April 12, 2024, the orthopedic technology specialist INCORT opened its new KiRO center in Hamburg Neuland. This new center for families with children who have limitations and disabilities takes an innovative approach that combines interaction, counseling, care, hands-on experience with rehabilitation technology, an orthopedic workshop, and training and continuing education.
The idea: to conceive of pediatric orthopedics and rehabilitation technology as an experiential world for families.
Children need an environment where they feel comfortable and that gives them space to find their way. Based on these requirements, the unique pediatric orthopedics and rehabilitation technology center KiRO Hamburg was created in a former warehouse in the Neuland industrial park. In an artistically colorful maritime setting, kids can try on and immediately test their orthopedic and rehabilitation equipment. An indoor obstacle course with guided paths and various floor surfaces is available for test runs. The workshop is right on site, so the equipment can be individually adjusted and customized.

Nach einigen Runden auf der Teststrecke, kleinen Anpassungen in der Werkstatt ( unser Kurzer durfte sogar mit schrauben :-) ) haben wir das neue Dreirad konfiguriert und hoffen jetzt, das es schnell genehmigt wird :-)

Ein 'das haben wir schon immer so gemacht' gibt's da nicht, sondern immer wieder innovative und individuell passende Lösungen!
Wir fühlen uns dort sehr gut aufgehoben!
Besonders gut hat mir die enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Ärzten und Therapeuten gefallen. Es fanden einige gemeinsame Termine sowohl im SPZ als auch bei den Physiotherapeuten statt um gemeinsam eine optimale Versorgung für meinen Sohn auszuwählen.
Auch bei der Beantragung bei der Krankenkasse und eventuellen Problemen/ Ablehnungen wurden wir sehr gut unterstützt.
Besonders erwähnenswert finde ich noch, dass bei allen Erprobungen, Vermessungen und Anproben stets mein Sohn im Mittelpunkt stand und die Mitarbeiter sich viel Zeit nahmen und fröhlich und auf Augenhöhe mit ihm interagierten. So waren es immer nur positive Erlebnisse für ihn und er freut sich wenn das mit Kindermotiven bunt bedruckte Incortauto von Herrn Meinke auf die Auffahrt rollt. So wünscht man sich das als Mutter.
Ich fühle mich rundum gut betreut und kann also allen Eltern dieses Sanitätshaus sehr empfehlen!!
