Derotwist – the derotation orthosis for children

The Derotwist® orthosis is a custom-made orthopedic device designed to address gait dysfunctions of the lower extremities and inadequate shock absorption during walking. Through targeted rotational straps, it promotes controlled external rotation of the legs, thereby improving gait and stability while walking. The orthosis can be worn under clothing and is particularly well-suited for the daily lives of active children.
Typical conditions:
- Spastic cerebral palsy
- Neuromuscular movement disorders
- Inward-rotated gait
- Scissor or crouch gait
- Weakness of the hip abductors and external rotators
- Retropatellar pain syndrome
