Wheelchair bikes
A wheelchair bike consists of two parts, one part bicycle and one part wheelchair, which are coupled together to form a wheelchair-bike. When on the move, they can be easily separated, allowing, for example, the wheelchair to be used to visit a store. Usually, the wheelchair is attached to the front, and the handlebars of the bike also steer the wheelchair.
Wheelchair bikes increase the range for outings, as after the wheelchair bike tour, one can visit a restaurant or any other place without the need to transfer the wheelchair user.
When purchasing a wheelchair bike, it's essential to consider whether it is a regular bike or an electric bike (E-Bike). Depending on the weight of the wheelchair occupant, an E-Bike may be a suitable choice. In terms of maneuverability, wheelchair bikes are comparable to cargo bikes, making them best suited for use on flat terrain and less suitable for off-road use.
