Wheelchair Loading Systems & Lifts
Wheelchair loading systems and lifts allow people with limited mobility to access vehicles without leaving their wheelchairs. There are several options:
Ramp: An affordable solution that can be operated manually or electrically and allows the wheelchair to be easily rolled into the vehicle.
Rear lift: A lift that raises the wheelchair into the vehicle using a platform. It is more expensive than a ramp and can be operated manually or electrically.
Side-mount lift: A lift mounted on the side of the vehicle that raises the wheelchair onto a platform; it is easier to operate than the rear lift but is also more expensive.
The choice of system depends on the wheelchair, the vehicle, and the user’s needs, and should meet safety requirements.
